  • i love the context behind your blog. it's so true that at this point, the blog world is so saturated, but who says we can't do something a little different and inspire people in a unique way?!

    • I definitely agree that the fashion blogosphere could use a little more substance. I'm glad that you liked what you saw so far, and I hope you visit again soon!

  • Love your blog…your sketches are amazing and I love your unique style :)) Can't wait to catch up on some of your posts from 2013!

    xo Em

    • Please do, and let me know what you think! Although maybe don't go back to the first ones…they were pretty bad…

  • Hi, Brittney! You are absolutely amazing, I fell in love with you and your creation which is ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL THING :) following you now on Bloglovin! thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a wonderful wonderful comment! <33333 wish you a very nice week! <3333 Zhanna

  • Girl, I totally agree! You are so funny and it's so refreshing to finally see a fashion blog that isn't about putting on clothes and then taking pictures. I've started to steer away from that so when I come back to my blog in a month or two, it'll have a whole new take! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will definitely be back to visit you! XO

    • Thanks, Huong! I've found that my "essay" posts are actually my most popular ones—it seems that everyone else is also hungry for actual content and critique in the blogosphere.

  • You have such a wonderful blog and about me section! I'm inspired :) Have been working all night to change the former appearance of my blog so this was really wonderful!
    Happy Sunday :)

  • I love how artistic your blog is, it's so fun to explore~~
And I love that Effie costume lol. My sis did Effie too for a Hunger Games premier

  • I love your fashion blogging philosophy! You can do anything you set your mind too. Best of luch to accomplishing everything you want to!

  • Hi "another beautiful girl"! I don't know why I can't leave a comment for one of your posts that I love. Anyway, the long sleeve maxi dress is gorgeous and I would love to have one. The ASOS peplum skirt is my love too but they ran out of my size. I ordered one skirt from ASOS in the past, my impression was that they are on the small side. I normally wear size 0 to 2, but size 4 from ASOS fits me perfectly.

Thanks for dropping by my humble blog and let's keep in touch!

  • You have SuCH an interesting blog. And you are so interesting too, which in this beauty and fashion bloggin world, is a word I rarely use to describe a fellow blogger. The typical ones are gorgeous, cute, chic, blah blah blah.. You type that so often you forget what they mean sometimes… So interesting is definitely rare! Btw if you’re in law school now you can’t be older than 25 how do you have a walk to remember as your favorite romance movie in high school?? That was when I was in high school which was in the early 2000’s! Anyhow I am glad I stumbled upon your blog. Sometimes in this blogosphere where it’s hard not to feel like you have to hustle to be heard yet the hustling kind of blinds you and leaves you just senseless some times.. It’s very refreshing to hear someone with a clear stand on things :)

    • Hi Jessica! Your compliments really made my day. Fashion blogging does seem a little superficial at times, but I think it’s on the bloggers to dig a little deeper and provide smart content. And I first watched A Walk to Remember in high school, years after it came out, and it became my favorite film then. I hope you’ll stick around :) And please, if you have a blog, I’d love to check it out as well.

      • I am totally sticking around =) I am all about blending beauty and cerebral together.. I have a blog myself as well and just wrote a post about my favorite podcasts.. perhaps you will find them interesting. I figure it won’t be my most popular post for obvious reasons, but maybe you will enjoy it!

  • Hey Brittney I just blogged about the “Liebster Award” and nominated you on my blog. When you have time, take a look! And don’t feel obligated to pass it on.. but if you do, let me know and I would love to check it out 😉

  • Fashion never ends, dupatta collection style and fashion getting more important day by day and now mostly people are following their favorite celebrity.

Hi Brittney, thank you so much for your ptosis surgery post. I just got my ptosis surgery on 8/10 and have been slowly recovering. It is very helpful to read a post that I can relate to and gives me a little piece of mind. I hope everything is still going well for you!

    • Thank you, Chi! I’m glad that you found it helpful. Hopefully your recovery is going well.

  • Annie

New fan– love your blog and your writing, Brittney! xo

hi, i was wondering where i can get the non-rustable versions of forever 21 rings, or inexpensive gold rings. I just want something that I can wear all day, water and pool, with no rust or damage. thank you.

    • Hi Eden, I think most jewelry wouldn’t stand up too well in a pool. However, one trick that I use to prolong the life of my costume jewelry is to spray the jewelry with a layer of clear spray paint (like in this post: http://www.beautyvbrains.com/2014/08/how-to-protect-and-polish-forever21.html). Be sure to hold the spray can at least 8 inches from the jewelry so that you don’t get dipples on the jewelry. Let dry and enjoy! Hope that helps
